Outside Magazine is one of those storied publications that mercifully survived the ascendence of the internet—though that shouldn't come as much surprise, considering survival is sort of their thing.

From the smouldering Smokey Mountains to the tick-riddled Allegheny Highlands, my directing partner Kyle Niemer and I have created comedic micro-doc field reports about various aspects of the American wilds. We're currently calling these efforts "Tree Huggers Comedy," and were thrilled to license them to Outside Online in the summer of 2019.

 

This past summer, we also produced a live show for their Outside Experience expo in Chicago, opening for bluegrass rock outfit Ha Ha Tonka.
